Library Thursday Blog Hop

 Hosted by LazyGirlReads

So I am super lucky because while my college's library is kind of lame (being an academic library, it doesn't really have any YA, except for Revolution by Jennifer Connelly and Lauren Conrad's books, nor does it have much fun genre fiction; it does however have loads of useful research material) BUT I can request books from loads of other libraries which is how I get most of my reading material.

Currently I have these books checked out:
Freefall by Mindi Scott
Kate by Claudia Joseph
Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler
Girl, Stolen by April Henry
Ransome's Honor by Kaye Dacus

Not pictured:
Tempestuous by Lesley Livingston
XVI by Julia Karr
Prisoners in the Palace by Michaela MacColl
Academy 7 by Anne Osterlund

Now that is a pretty good list of fairly recent titles plus some older ones that I missed.  I also get the books for three weeks with the option to renew if necessary.  It is a good system and I estimate that at least one-third of the books I've read while in college come through this system.

What did you get from the library this week?

  1. WOW... You have a stack of books to read. Our library lets us renew after 3 weeks also, except, the books on loan from other libraries. Then we have them for 4 weeks, and have to return them. Thanks for the visit to My Reading Corner, I'm the one who will be reading "What Cheer" this week-end.

  2. Great reads. I haven't read them but they look good. I love my library. I can renew books up to 2x as long as they are not on hold for someone else. I try not to have to do that and read them in the order I get them. But its hard sometimes. I love libraries!!

  3. What a stack of books! It must look so pretty up close.:) I always admire my library "loot". Our library also lets us renew after 3 weeks - in fact, it lets us renew 2 times (the second time for 2 weeks), so you can actually (technically speaking) have books at home for 8 whole weeks. But, IF I have to renew books, I do so only once. It's not nice to other readers to do so twice and keep books away from them.

I didn't get anything from the library this week, as I have a few books for review to read. I did return some books, so I got to see the library.:)

  4. omg you have so many books!!! woohoo interlibrary loans!! thanks for signing up :)

  5. XVI already?? It'll be summer until my local library gets that one if it even gets it at all! And it won't be in my library. I'll have to request from a library closer to Boston. God do I want that book!! But man do you have a lot of reading to do! Good luck and enjoy!

  6. You got some really great books! I am waiting for my library to get XVI and I really liked Tempestuous.
    Truly Bookish

  7. Wow I see a lot of good books there. i actually read XVI by Julia Karr and loved it!

    Happy Reading!

  8. I can't even believe you have time to read books while you're in college...except those that you are told that you have to read. More cudos to you!
