October Stats + #AnnaKareninaRA

Looking Back at October: A better month for me, with a just below average number of books read but a higher enjoyment. I just plain liked the books I read this month with a few standouts so that lifted the average rating on them.

Looking Forward to November: Lots of cool stuff for November but first and foremost is my 3-year blogoversary including a full week of giveaways (currently planning a minimum of 7). Another exciting thing is this Anna Karenina readalong-we're only in the first week so there's definitely time to jump in; see this post for more info and the schedule. I know it's a fat book but it's actually very readable. I've already finished the first part and am looking forward to going further. Plus I'm focusing a bit more on the books I own so that should hopefully lead to higher ratings and more enjoyment for me.

  1. Can't wait to see your review of All You Never Wanted. I hear it's a great sister-relationship book, and I know you love those. It's in the mail to me right now, but with the hurricane, my mail doesn't seem to be coming and the library is closed. I'll have to be patient! Just glad I have power :)

  3. I'm glad you enjoyed the books you read! I read Anna Karenina in high school and I thought about rereading it because the movie is coming out but I think I will wait. I am trying to work my way through my review books first and it takes me forever to read most classics. Plus the movie probably won't play near me. I'm also tempted to read Les Miserables but that is a doorstopper of a book too! Have a great November!

  4. I wasn't so sure about continuing Gabrielle Zevin's dystopian series because I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one. Since Because it is My Blood is one of your recommendations, I may just have to read it sometime. :D
