Blogging Motivation:
I was super busy this week and barely commented so that's my focus for this weekend and I'm hoping to comment on at least 50 posts today (I have almost 200 still in my feedly-eep). Additionally I haven't really felt like reading after getting some sad news at work. Consequently my blogging motivation fell even more and I didn't even really want to read or at least I couldn't focus on the written words I had before me. Another distraction is focusing on my wardrobe to see what new outfits I can concoct with what I already own instead of buying more; this has meant a lot of time on Pinterest and I'm some of you know what a time suck that can be!

For example, this is the outfit, I'm attempting to copy tomorrow: Chambray shirt, chiffon skirt, but I'm going to rock boots :) I used to be very tomboyish (t-shirt and jeans was my uniform) but lately I've been experimenting and trying new looks. Has anyone else experienced a similar evolution in style?
Yay-I remembered to add a picture!
Week to Come:
Dancer, Daughter, Traitor, Spy by Elizabeth Kiem
VIII by HM Castor
Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith-have heard so many mixed things about this!
Passion and Poison by Janice M Del Negro
Goddess by Josephine Angelini, the highly anticipated conclusion to the Starcrossed trilogy (team Orion!)
The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau, a book exciting enough to get my very picky sister's attention but what will I think of it?

  1. Sorry to hear you've had sad news, I understand completely how hard it is to stay motivated when things like that happen. I'm still battling it lol.

PS I like that chiffon skirt, will be a gorgeous look with boots.

    1. It turned out very well I thought-I love the light airy skirt with the sort of tougher boots look. It makes for a great contrast!

    1. Man Pinterest is such a time suck! I just love it so much but it takes me away from reading, writing, blogging, real-life people, etc.

  4. I'm sorry about your sad news. I hope things get better.

Pinterest can be a great distraction. Sometimes it is easy to spend hours on it without realizing where the time has gone. It is a good place to get ideas too but admittedly I use it more for recipes and craft ideas at the library than for fashion inspiration. My fashion choices usually consist of boring khaki slacks and t-shirts for work. That outfit is really cute!

I am curious to read your thoughts on The Testing! Sometimes these newer dystopian novels all seem like carbon copies of the ones that came before.

    1. I look for recipes a lot too but lately I've spent more time looking at clothes just to excite me about my wardrobe.

Early preview of my review of The Testing (which I'm not quite done writing yet haha): not positive.

    1. Wild Awake is posted as of now-an exciting, complicated book of feelings that's not quite my thing though still worth checking out, I feel. Goddess is going up shortly-it's less positive.

  8. I have Dancer, Daughter, Traitor, and Spy too and am planning on reading it soon. I need to do a lot of things with my wardrobe and I definitley know all about getting sucked into Pinterest. :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope that this week is much better for you! I don't like getting bad news.

That IS a cute outfit! Pinterest can definitely be a time sucker, but it's just so useful!! ;)

  12. OMG, you like Orion! I mean, I like Orion too, but not for Helen. I hope that's not who you're referring to lol **Team Lucas!**

And I've been really curious about the Testing. I can't wait to see your reviews for both books :)

    1. I adore Orion! I'm not the biggest fan of Helen so I always focus the most on his character since he's been introduced.

    1. Aw, thanks *blushes* I always imagined a book blog focusing on reviews so that's my main focus. It helps that I'm a pretty fast reader :) I love all your inventive features and am so glad I stumbled across it.
