From Dusk to Dawn Readathon Wrapup
Wednesday: I started out strong with 5 hours of reading and I read Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and Forget You by Jennifer Echols.
Thursday: Not as good, I read for 2.5 hours finishing Linger by Maggie Stiefvater and reading about 30 pages of The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.
Friday: I stayed on twitter for about an hour, which slowed my reading pace considerably. Still I finished The Iron King and Winter's Passage, an Iron King novella, in about 3 hours. Then I spent an hour reading Daddy's Delight by Karia Bunting.
Saturday: Spent 1.5 hours reading Everlasting; Then I took a break to watch Lie to Me because hulu was mean to me earlier. I also took another hour to finish Daddy's Delight.
Total hours spent reading: 14 hours (I really should have spent more time but I was so tired because I was working all day)
Total pages read: 2016
Total books finished: 7 (or maybe more like 6.5)
I think I read so quickly because I was reading YA; I had the hardest time reading Daddy's Delight because it was an ebook with a weird font.
Upcoming:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
One Day by David Nicholls
Week 2 of Bleak House Readalong
Currently Reading:
Bleak House by Dickens
Passion by Jude Morgan (one of my favorite authors)
See other Monday Reading links at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.
I'm impressed at how much time you spent reading this week - I wish I could manage to fit that amount in my working week. One Day sounds really good, it's on my wishlist - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI adored Bleakhouse as well as The Book Thief. Have a splendid week reading. My Monday is located here: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/08/its-monday-what-are-your-reading.html
ReplyDeleteYou did do well in the readathon. Jude Morgan is one of my favourite authors too and I loved Passion.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week!
I cant wait to be a part of the October Readathon. How fun and I was bummed to have missed out on this one. Looks like you did really well!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your reviews on Mockingjay and The Book Thief.
You did better than I would have with the dusk to dawn read a thon. When I get home from work I am usually in a vegetative state, where TV is about the only thing I can accomplish before bed.
ReplyDeleteLoved The Book Thief hope you enjoy it. Have a great week.
I think you did really well, and I know exactly what you mean about the font, recently read a book with not only a smaller font, but it had extra curlicues on some of the letters and really slowed me down.

I'm a new follower. I got a lot of reading done but this week I have to hit the text books. Here's what I'm reading this week.
ReplyDeleteI was so lame last week that I only read one book because of so much work but I'm such a slow reader anyway. :) This week I'll be reading the Millennium series since I received it as a gift. I do want to read the hunger series since I've been hearing a lot of good feedbacks lately. Newest follower. :) have a great week.
