I'm starting to appreciate hockey more now than I did before, and I definitely agree about the Will thing -- so many awesome book boys are named Will, and I'd definitely be willing to add this one to my list! ;)

Amazing review as always, B! I don't think you sound heartless at all! Sometimes reading about the MC pushing everyone away is hard for me too, so I understand what you're getting at. <3 :)Mimi Valentinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04241457025232914551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530836089087964376.post-78851149605753619782012-03-08T12:29:30.489-08:002012-03-08T12:29:30.489-08:00Hmmm I kind of want to read How To Save A Life now...Hmmm I kind of want to read How To Save A Life now.

I will say that I totally loved the Survival Kit and that for the most part Rose kind of saves herself and that she does have a pretty strong support system, even if she does push them away.

Also, this one totally hit my radar after seeing several blogger friends rave.

Great review! :-)April (BooksandWine)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15268544465552896599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530836089087964376.post-48688846777535981362012-03-08T07:40:43.165-08:002012-03-08T07:40:43.165-08:00I definitely liked Rose WAY more than Jill-I also ...I definitely liked Rose WAY more than Jill-I also preferred this to How to Save a Life, which did not work for me at all.The Insouciant Sophisticatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03934853089105345052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530836089087964376.post-78889290630625725082012-03-08T03:26:58.067-08:002012-03-08T03:26:58.067-08:00I've had this on my TBR list for awhile. I'...I've had this on my TBR list for awhile. I've read one book by the author and it was very different (The Possibilities of Sainthood).

I recently read How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr and one of the MCs (Jill) acts the same way after her father dies. She pushed away her friends and boyfriend and can't seem to stop herself from lashing out at those who care about her. Still, I liked Jill in the end and maybe it will be the same with Rose.Christina Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07756342293865115352noreply@blogger.com
