I also liked a book that was in verse form per se. It was turned into a movie, I read the book when I was a little girl. It is called For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf. I loved it, some people hated the verse format. But the movie made from it, Precious, turned out pretty well.

Thanks for the review. One thing about verse poetical novels, is the richness the language brings forth. It can be lyrically delicious.Lenasledgeblog.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03910856908662964093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530836089087964376.post-51559753003724946412011-06-10T10:14:52.732-07:002011-06-10T10:14:52.732-07:00Great review! I've only read a few books in verse, one of them being The Odyssey, and the verse-form gets tedious after a while. However, I love Arthurian legends, and I have been fascinated with Elaine ever since I read The Lady of Shalott by Tennyson years ago. I will keep the novel in mind because of my interest in all things Camelot.Irena @ This Miss Loves to Readhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16127816068294702715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-530836089087964376.post-55814267677182263672011-06-10T06:30:53.691-07:002011-06-10T06:30:53.691-07:00Nicely reviewed :) I don't really like verse n...Nicely reviewed :) I don't really like verse novels either, but I do like stories about Camelot. As far as verse novels go though, I did like this one and thought she communicated the story and characters well.Small Reviewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16072352095510905410noreply@blogger.com
